Hello, good question! Currently you can only trigger devices from Sequematic, but I'm looking at options available to have changed in device statuses trigger sequences.

I'm hoping to be able to confirm if this is possible by the end if this week and will post back here once I have more information.

Hi Derek,

Thank you for your replay.

On Tuya app is possible make this kind of rule, but limited for tuya devices.

I'm looking for a way to transpose actions or commands to another devices, by SQUEmatic or IFTTT

Thank you again

Is there any update on this? I too am eagerly awaiting this feature.

Me too

i think if you enable notifications for door open/closed on smart life, you could work around this with macrodroid.

you can set notification received from specific app and specific content as trigger and then it can call a sequematic webhook.

for temprature sensor you could do the same but you might have to create smarts to send a notification when its x degrees, i do not know as i don't own a temprature sensor

there are probably more apps that can do this other then macrodroid.

Hi Derek, I'm also interested to use Tuya sensors and other devices as a trigger. For example, it will be very usefull to know wether a door is closed or not, ans it will be too to know the status of a power socket without using smartlife app.

I hope you will find a way to make this possible.

In the meantime, I made a sequence using the following trigger : Time/every day/every minute. It works but generate too much information :(

Would it be possible to add a kind of "always on trigger"?

I tried to use Macrodroid but it is not flawless.

Waiting for good news :)

Hi Prise Cam Salon.  For the moment what you've set up is the best workaround here.  When you say too much information - what do you mean?  Are you referring to the entries in the sequence log?

i have a question about this, following the "every 1 minute" trigger method, can't we just add pauses and duplicate "check device status" steps, so it checks every couple seconds? this way we could use device status as a trigger, right? or maybe we can run multiple of the same "every 1 minute" sequences at the same time? hope you can tell me if it's ok to do this,

Hi Vinny, technically you're right and you could do this although I'm not sure if that would violate the Tuya terms for their API. I will need to look into that.  I am looking at something similar though so that you could have a trigger which monitors the status of the device and in the background it would check frequently (maybe not every second but I was aiming for multiple times per minute). This would prevent so many sequences having to run in order to monitor the status.

The SEQUEmatic bot is still new and learning. If you don't get the answer you need, just ask to speak with Derek and your chat will be transferred.
