tuya / IFTTT - get notified on iPhone if door opens (or closes) All questions

Hi

I found Sequematic while trying to work out how to use IFTTT to send iOS notifications to my phone if a door sensor (linked to Tuya). Can anyone help me (preferably with step by step instructions) now to make this work, assuming it can be done?

I've linked my Sequmatic account with my Tuya account and think I need a webhook action in IFTTT but that's as far as I've been able to get. Any pointers greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Hello, unfortunately you can't have a Tuya device trigger a SEQUEmatic sequence.  Currently there is no way for me to set up that integration with Tuya.

I think the easiest thing to do would be to just enable "door open/closing" reminders in the tuya/smartlife app itself, or alternatively you can create automations - if device condition changes - send notification.

I use android myself so it could be that the tuya/smartlife IOS app does not allow you to do this, but i would find that very strange!

I already use the Tuya app but it's unreliable and the options for notifications/actions are limited.

Seems that none of the services which support my door sensor (Tuya, Brillian, SmartLife) work with IFTTT despite being listed as doing do.

Perhaps door sensors as a class of device simply aren't supported but that's not stated anywhere I can find.

The SEQUEmatic bot is still new and learning. If you don't get the answer you need, just ask to speak with Derek and your chat will be transferred.
