Stringify replacement help All questions

I'm hoping this forum can help. Since stringify shut down I've been looking for a compatible replacement. Some services do well to fill in the gaps but I never heard of this service until today.

Most of my flows from stringify could be replicated elsewhere but there is one specifically that can't be. This flow would change one of my Hue lights red for 1 minute, then change to yellow for 55 seconds and then green for 5 seconds and then activate the scene to get all lights in the same room back to the same color.

Is this timing sequence available for sequematic? Basically it was a flow that would run for 2 minutes with light bulb color changes at given intervals.

Thanks for any help anyone can provide!

Hi Jeff, yes, you should be able to achieve this with SEQUEmatic.  An overview of the sequence you'd need to create would be:

  1. A trigger of some sort - time based, or you could use the IFTTT webhook to link it to any of IFTTT's triggers
  2. IFTTT webhook call to change the light to red
  3. Pause for 1 minute
  4. IFTTT webhook call to change the light to yellow
  5. Pause for 55 seconds
  6. IFTTT webhook call to change the light to green
  7. Pause for 5 seconds
  8. IFTTT webhook call to reset light colours
For each of the IFTTT webhook calls, you will need to create a corresponding IFTTT applet using the webhook condition and the Philips Hue action to change the lights.
If you have any trouble setting this up, just reply back here or contact me privately and I can help.

Thanks for the help and the detailed instructions! I setup my account too see how easy it would be to create the sequence. A lot easier than I assumed. I've created my template and now I'll move to iffttt to create the corresponding webhook for each.

I'll reach back out if I need any help but I've used iffttt, stringify, yonomi and integrated routines through Google home so hopefully I'll be able to figure it out.

Thanks again.

No worries. Good luck and let me know if you run into any problems.

Got it working. All in all it only took about 20-30 minutes of work. But I was being very careful in setting up the webhooks since I've never done it before.

Thanks again! I wish I found sequematic earlier. But now that I have I'll be active in these forums.

Sequematic... You have a fan!

That's great to hear, thanks Jeff!

The SEQUEmatic bot is still new and learning. If you don't get the answer you need, just ask to speak with Derek and your chat will be transferred.
