Is there a brand of ewelink compatible wifi switches with inching that work with segmaticask-question All questions

I purchased some smart wifi switches with inching - one with 4 channels and 4 switches and the other with only one channel and one switch.  I have set both up using ewelink and Google Assistant.  They both work successfully with ewelink and Google Assistant. However, I have not been able to have them work within sequematic.  I have also successfully linked ewelink to sequematic, and the two switches appear as options to select in sequematic .  However, when I attempt to run the sequence, the smart wifi device does not trigger - regardless of whether inching is set or not. The smart wifi switch is https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C7QQHMCX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title  Has anyone purchased a similar device from another manufacturer that works with Sequematic? If so, does the device work with inching set?

As an aside, I have been successful at programming a sequence that can trigger a light via the tuya service.  So either the problem is with the ewelink or the smart wifi switch. I suspect that the problem is with the switch and I am hoping that another brand smart wifi switch will operate successfully.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Jim, I don't think this is related to inching but rather these particular devices. Some devices use the eWeLink API slightly differently so may not be working with SEQUEmatic. Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this though.

Are you sure the devices are connected to the wifi? eWeLink is giving an offline response for Big Ben Chimes and I can see offline errors in the logs as well.

Hi Derek,

The reason that the device was disconnected was because I was using the power supply for something else. I have reconnected the power to the device. It now works with both the ewelink app and Google Home Assistant. It also shows as an option to be selected on sequematic in smart devices.

Hi Derek,

I believe that you are correct that some devices use the eWeLink API slightly differently and therefore don't work with SEQUEmatic. It would be great if we can get to the bottom of this. Let me know if there is any test or change that you would like me to try.

Cheers,

Jim

The SEQUEmatic bot is still new and learning. If you don't get the answer you need, just ask to speak with Derek and your chat will be transferred.
